15 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

17 | Section 1. Subsection (6) of section 493.6115, Florida |
18 | Statutes, is amended to read: |
19 | 493.6115 Weapons and firearms.-- |
20 | (6) Unless otherwise approved by the department, the only |
21 | firearm a Class "CC," Class "D," Class "M," or Class "MB" |
22 | licensee who has been issued a Class "G" license may carry is a |
23 | .38 or .357 caliber revolver with factory .38 caliber ammunition |
24 | only. In addition to any other firearm approved by the |
25 | department, a Class "C," Class "D," Class "M," Class "MB," or |
26 | Class "MA" licensee who has been issued a Class "G" license may |
27 | carry a .38 caliber revolver; or a .380 caliber or 9 millimeter |
28 | semiautomatic pistol; or a .357 caliber revolver with .38 |
29 | caliber ammunition only. A Class "C" licensee who also holds a |
30 | Class "D" license, and who has been issued a Class "G" license, |
31 | may carry a 9 millimeter semiautomatic pistol while performing |
32 | security-related services. No licensee may carry more than two |
33 | firearms upon her or his person when performing her or his |
34 | duties. A licensee may only carry a firearm of the specific type |
35 | and caliber with which she or he is qualified pursuant to the |
36 | firearms training referenced in subsection (8) or s. |
37 | 493.6113(3)(b). |
38 | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2005. |
