11 The Committee on Judiciary (Campbell) recommended the
12 following amendment:

14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 1, line 26, through
16 page 2, line 3, delete those lines
17
18 and insert:
19 (c) When a certified nursing assistant or home health
20 aide is referred to a patient's home by a nurse registry, the
21 nurse registry shall advise the patient, the patient's family,
22 or a person acting on behalf of the patient at the time of
23 contracting for services through the nurse registry of the
24 availability of registered nurses to visit the patient's home
25 to assess the patient's condition at an additional cost. A
26 registered nurse shall make monthly visits to the patient's
27 home to assess the patient's condition and quality of care
28 being provided by the certified nursing assistant or home
29 health aide. Any condition which in the professional judgment
30 of the nurse requires further medical attention shall be
31 reported to the attending physician and the nurse registry.

1 The assessment shall become a part of the patient's file with
2 the nurse registry and may be reviewed by the agency during
3 their survey procedure.
