1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to the Homosassa Special Water District,
3	Citrus County; providing for annexation of specified
4	areas; requiring a referendum; providing an effective
5	date.

7	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
8
9	Section 1.  Extension of district boundaries; Area A.--
10	(1)  The Homosassa Special Water District shall call for a
11	referendum no later than December 30, 2005, in accordance with
12	provisions of law relating to elections currently in force. The
13	purpose of said referendum shall be to determine whether the
14	lands within Area A as described below will be included within
15	the territorial limits of the district. Only those registered
16	voters residing within Area A and only those registered voters
17	residing within the existing territorial limits of the district
18	may vote in said referendum.
19	(2)  The legal description of Area A is as follows:

21	The SE quarter of the NE quarter of Section 16,
22	Township 19 South, Range 17 East.

24	(3)  If the majority of the voters residing within Area A
25	and a majority of voters residing within the territorial limits
26	of the district voting in the referendum as provided in
27	subsection (1) determine that the lands described in subsection
28	(2) should be included within the territorial limits of the
29	district, said lands shall be included within the district
30	boundaries 10 days following the date of the referendum.
31	Section 2.  Extension of district boundaries; Area B.--
32	(1)  The Homosassa Special Water District shall call for a
33	referendum no later than December 30, 2005, in accordance with
34	provisions of law relating to elections currently in force. The
35	purpose of said referendum shall be to determine whether the
36	lands within Area B as described below will be included within
37	the territorial limits of the district. Only those registered
38	voters residing within Area B and only those registered voters
39	residing within the existing territorial limits of the district
40	may vote in said referendum.
41	(2)  The legal description of Area B is as follows:

43	SPRING GARDENS Subdivision as described in Plat Book
44	11, Page 98, Public Records of Citrus County, Florida.

46	(3)  If the majority of the voters residing within Area B
47	and a majority of voters residing within the territorial limits
48	of the district voting in the referendum as provided in
49	subsection (1) determine that the lands described in subsection
50	(2) should be included within the territorial limits of the
51	district, said lands shall be included within the district
52	boundaries 10 days following the date of the referendum.

54	(1)  The Homosassa Special Water District shall call for a

63	(2)  The legal description of Area C is as follows:

65	Begin at a point on the West line of Section 23,
66	Township 19 South, Range 17 East, said point being the
67	intersection of said West line and the W'LY extension
68	of the North line of Block 178 as shown on the plat of
69	Unit 4 of Homosassa as recorded in Plat Book 1, Page
70	46, Public Records Of Citrus County, Florida, thence
71	E'LY and NE'LY along the North line of Blocks 178,
72	179, 182 & 181 as shown on said Plat, to the
73	intersection of the E'LY extension of the North line
74	of said Block 181 and the East line of said Plat, said
75	line also being the West line of Homosassa Highlands
76	as recorded in Plat Book 7, Page 33, Public Records Of
77	Citrus County, Florida, thence N'LY along said West
78	line to the intersection of the South line of Lot 10
79	of said Plat, thence E'LY along said South line to the
80	SE corner of said Lot, then S'LY along the East line
81	of Lot 9 of said plat to the intersection of the W'LY
82	W'LY extension of Lot 27 of said Plat, thence E'LY alon
83	extension of Lot 27 of said Plat, thence E'LY along
84	the North line of said Lot and the North line of Lots
85	23, 24, 25, & 26 of said plat to the intersection of
86	the E'LY extension of the North line of said Lot 23
87	and the West line of Lot 56 of said plat, thence N'LY
88	N'LY along said West line to the NW corner of
89	lands described in OR Book 1459, Page 143, Public
90	Records Of Citrus County, Florida, thence E'LY and
91	S'LY along said lands to the South line of said Lot
92	56, thence E'LY along the South line of said lot and
93	the E'LY extension thereof to the East line of said
94	plat also being the East line of said Section 23.
