12 following amendment:

15 On page 75, between lines 7 and 8,
16
17 insert:
18 Section 16. Paragraph (k) is added to subsection (3)
19 of section 409.907, Florida Statutes, to read:
20 409.907 Medicaid provider agreements.--The agency may
21 make payments for medical assistance and related services
22 rendered to Medicaid recipients only to an individual or
23 entity who has a provider agreement in effect with the agency,
24 who is performing services or supplying goods in accordance
25 with federal, state, and local law, and who agrees that no
26 person shall, on the grounds of handicap, race, color, or
27 national origin, or for any other reason, be subjected to
28 discrimination under any program or activity for which the
29 provider receives payment from the agency.
30 (3) The provider agreement developed by the agency, in
31 addition to the requirements specified in subsections (1) and

1 (2), shall require the provider to:
2 (k) Ensure that its employees and dependents are
3 furnished with health insurance benefits that are equivalent
4 to, or exceed, the benefits provided by the state Medicaid
5 program. Covered services, scope, and duration of benefits
6 must meet or exceed those provided by Medicaid and the cost of
7 those benefits to employees of the provider may not exceed
8 those paid by Medicaid recipients.

12 And the title is amended as follows:
13 On page 4, line 13, after the semicolon,
14
15 insert:
16 amending s. 409.907, F.S.; requiring Medicaid
17 providers to provide health coverage benefits
18 to their employees which are equal to or
19 greater than those of Medicaid recipients;
