11 The Committee on Ways and Means (Saunders) recommended the
12 following amendment:

16 page 16, line 4, delete those lines

18 and insert: older. The agency shall ensure that all Medicaid
19 eligible elderly individuals in the pilot areas are provided
20 choice counseling as to the full range of benefits offered by
21 each entity. The program must combine all funding for
22 Medicaid services provided to individuals 60 years of age or
23 older into the integrated system, including funds for Medicaid
24 home and community-based waiver services; all Medicaid
25 services authorized in ss. 409.905 and 409.906; and Medicare
26 premiums, coinsurance, and deductibles for persons dually
27 eligible for Medicaid and Medicare as prescribed in s.
28 409.908(13). Medicaid enrollees residing in a nursing home or
29 other residential facility at the time of implementation may
30 choose to remain in that facility regardless of whether the
31 facility contracts with a managed care entity. If there is

1 not a contractual relationship between a nursing home provider
2 and a managed care entity, the nursing home shall cooperate
3 with the efforts of a plan to determine if a recipient would
4 be more appropriately served in a community setting, and
5 payments shall be made in accordance with Medicaid nursing
6 home rates as calculated in the Medicaid state plan. The
