1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to Florida State Employees'
3 Charitable Campaign; amending s. 110.181, F.S.;
4 requiring that undesignated campaign funds be
5 shared proportionally by the participating
6 charitable organizations based on their
7 percentage of designations in each fiscal agent
8 area; removing the fiscal agent's right to
9 select the steering committee members;
10 providing an effective date.

12 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

14 Section 1. Paragraph (d) of subsection (2) of section
15 110.181, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
16 110.181 Florida State Employees' Charitable
17 Campaign.--
18 (2) SELECTION OF FISCAL AGENTS; COST.--
19 (d) A local steering committee shall be established in
20 each fiscal agent area to assist in conducting the campaign.
21 and to direct The distribution of undesignated funds in each
22 local fiscal agent area shall be shared proportionally by the
23 participating charitable organizations based on their
24 percentage of designations in each fiscal agent area. The
25 committee shall be composed of state employees selected by the
26 fiscal agent.
27 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2005.
