  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the privatization of foster

  3         care and related services; amending s.

  4         409.1671, F.S.; providing that a lead

  5         community-based provider and its subcontractors

  6         supplying foster care and related services are

  7         exempt from including in written contracts and

  8         other written documents certain statements

  9         required by law; providing an exception if the

10         lead community-based provider or its

11         subcontractors receive more than 35 percent of

12         their total funding from the state; providing

13         an effective date.

15  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

16  

17         Section 1.  Subsection (11) is added to section

18  409.1671, Florida Statutes, to read:

19         409.1671  Foster care and related services;

20  privatization.--

21         (11)  A lead community-based provider and its

22  subcontractors are exempt from including in written contracts

23  and other written documents the statement "sponsored by the

24  State of Florida" or the logo of the Department of Children

25  and Family Services, otherwise required in s. 286.25, unless

26  the lead community-based provider or its subcontractors

27  receive more than 35 percent of their total funding from the

28  state.

29         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

30  law.
