| 8 | WHEREAS, Jacksonville has had 36 years of success with its |
| 9 | consolidated City/County Government, and |
| 10 | WHEREAS, Jacksonville has a major United States Navy and |
| 11 | United States Marine presence at Naval Air Station Mayport, |
| 12 | Naval Air Station Jacksonville, and Blount Island United States |
| 13 | Marine Installation, and |
| 14 | WHEREAS, Jacksonville is the home of the National Football |
| 15 | League Jacksonville Jaguars, and |
| 16 | WHEREAS, Super Bowl XXXIX was held in Jacksonville in |
| 17 | February 2005, and |
| 18 | WHEREAS, Florida's First Coast is the home of the |
| 19 | Professional Golfers' Association Tour and the Association of |
| 20 | Tennis Professionals, and |
| 21 | WHEREAS, Jacksonville has outstanding natural resources, |
| 22 | including the Timucuan National Preserve, the St. Johns River, |
| 23 | and miles of coastline, and |
| 24 | WHEREAS, Jacksonville is a leading city in the insurance |
| 25 | and health care markets and is one of the largest vehicle |
| 26 | import-export centers on the East Coast, and |
| 27 | WHEREAS, Jacksonville is home to one of the nation's |
| 28 | fastest growing airports, NOW, THEREFORE, |

| 30 | Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of |
| 31 | Florida; |

| 33 | That April 21, 2005, be recognized as "Jacksonville Day" in |
| 34 | Tallahassee. |
