House Resolution
2A resolution congratulating the Lakeland High School
3Dreadnaught State Championship Football Team.

5     WHEREAS, with commitment, determination, and hard work, the
6Lakeland High School football team won its fourth class 5A title
7on December 10, 2004, by defeating St. Thomas Aquinas High
8School by a score of 31-7, and
9     WHEREAS, upon completing its third perfect season, the team
10reinforced its standing as one of the top 25 high school
11football programs in the nation, and
12     WHEREAS, throughout the year, the team's strong work ethic,
13prompted and reinforced by Head Coach Bill Castle's strong
14leadership, resulted in stronger and more experienced players
15and proved to be the important factor in yet another successful
16season, and
17     WHEREAS, named Coach of the Year for the second time, Head
18Coach Bill Castle, through example as well as instruction,
19taught his players the value of dedication and hard work and
20motivated them to "go the extra mile," NOW, THEREFORE,

22Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of
23Florida:

25     That the House of Representatives extends its
26congratulations to the Lakeland High School Dreadnaughts as the
27Class 5A State Champions in football for 2004-2005 and offers
28its wishes for their continued success in the upcoming years.
29     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
30presented to Lakeland High School on behalf of its 2004-2005
31Championship Football Team and to Head Coach Bill Castle as a
32tangible token of the sentiments expressed herein.
