| 5 | WHEREAS, with commitment, determination, and hard work, the |
| 6 | Lakeland High School football team won its fourth class 5A title |
| 7 | on December 10, 2004, by defeating St. Thomas Aquinas High |
| 8 | School by a score of 31-7, and |
| 9 | WHEREAS, upon completing its third perfect season, the team |
| 10 | reinforced its standing as one of the top 25 high school |
| 11 | football programs in the nation, and |
| 12 | WHEREAS, throughout the year, the team's strong work ethic, |
| 13 | prompted and reinforced by Head Coach Bill Castle's strong |
| 14 | leadership, resulted in stronger and more experienced players |
| 15 | and proved to be the important factor in yet another successful |
| 16 | season, and |
| 17 | WHEREAS, named Coach of the Year for the second time, Head |
| 18 | Coach Bill Castle, through example as well as instruction, |
| 19 | taught his players the value of dedication and hard work and |
| 20 | motivated them to "go the extra mile," NOW, THEREFORE, |

| 22 | Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of |

| 25 | That the House of Representatives extends its |
| 26 | congratulations to the Lakeland High School Dreadnaughts as the |
| 27 | Class 5A State Champions in football for 2004-2005 and offers |
| 28 | its wishes for their continued success in the upcoming years. |
| 29 | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be |
| 30 | presented to Lakeland High School on behalf of its 2004-2005 |
| 31 | Championship Football Team and to Head Coach Bill Castle as a |
| 32 | tangible token of the sentiments expressed herein. |
