| 2 | A resolution congratulating Dr. Rao Musunuru on receiving |
| 3 | the 2005 National Physician of the Year Award. |

| 5 | WHEREAS, the American Heart Association annually awards the |
| 6 | Physician of the Year award to one practicing physician in the |
| 7 | United States who has rendered outstanding contributions toward |
| 8 | reducing disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and |
| 9 | stroke, and |
| 10 | WHEREAS, Dr. Rao Musunuru helped establish the Heart |
| 11 | Institute at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point and is |
| 12 | committed to educating the public and professionals about the |
| 13 | prevention and treatment of heart disease, and |
| 14 | WHEREAS, Dr. Musunuru is dedicated to bringing |
| 15 | cardiovascular health awareness to the community and has raised |
| 16 | funds for fitness, created a cardiac care conference, and served |
| 17 | as President of the Florida/Puerto Rico affiliate of the |
| 18 | American Heart Association, and |
| 19 | WHEREAS, Dr. Musunuru was also the recipient of the |
| 20 | American Heart Association's National Chairman's Award for 2003 |
| 21 | and the Florida Golden Heart Outstanding Achievement Award for |
| 22 | 2004, and |
| 23 | WHEREAS, the recipient of the 2005 National Physician of |
| 24 | the Year Award is Dr. Rao Musunuru, who received the award in |
| 25 | April in Washington, D.C., NOW, THEREFORE, |

| 27 | Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of |
| 28 | Florida: |

| 30 | That Dr. Rao Musunuru is hereby congratulated on being |
| 31 | awarded the American Heart Association's 2005 National Physician |
| 32 | of the Year Award and for his dedication in improving the |
| 33 | cardiovascular health and education of the people of the State |
| 34 | of Florida. |
| 35 | BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be |
| 36 | presented to Dr. Musunuru as a tangible token of the sentiments |
| 37 | expressed herein. |
