14 Delete everything after the enacting clause

16 and insert:
17 Section 1. Section 316.1303, Florida Statutes, is
18 amended to read:
19 316.1303 Traffic regulations to assist
20 mobility-impaired persons.--Whenever a pedestrian is in the
21 process of crossing a public street or highway and the
22 pedestrian is mobility-impaired (using a guide dog or service
23 animal, a walker, a crutch, an orthopedic cane, or a
24 wheelchair), the driver of every vehicle approaching the
25 intersection, as defined in s. 316.003(17), shall bring his or
26 her vehicle to a full stop before arriving at such
27 intersection and, before proceeding, shall take such
28 precautions as may be necessary to avoid injuring such
29 pedestrian. A person who is convicted of a violation of this
30 section shall be punished as provided in s. 318.18(3).
31 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2005.

12 providing a penalty; providing an effective
13 date.
