1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to assessment requirements for high school
3	graduation; creating s. 1008.225, F.S.; providing for
4	satisfaction of an assessment requirement for high school
5	graduation by a student temporarily evacuated due to a
6	natural disaster who meets certain requirements; providing
7	an effective date.

9	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11	Section 1.  Section 1008.225, Florida Statutes, is created
12	to read:
13	1008.225  Temporarily evacuated students; satisfaction of
14	assessment requirement for graduation.--An out-of-state student
15	entering a public school during the 12th grade who is
16	temporarily evacuated from his or her home state due to a
17	natural disaster and who provides satisfactory proof of having
18	passed his or her home state's high school exit examination
19	shall satisfy the assessment requirement for a standard high
20	school diploma as provided in s. 1003.43(5)(a).
21	Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
