11  The Committee on Children and Families (Lynn) recommended the

18  and insert:  
19         (a)  Thirteen members shall be appointed by the
20  director of the Office of Drug Control and shall represent the
21  following organizations:
22         1.  The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Corporation,
23  Inc., described in s. 394.655.
24         2.  The Florida Association of School Psychologists.
25         3.  The Florida Sheriffs Association.
26         4.  The Suicide Prevention Action Network USA.
27         5.  The Florida Initiative of Suicide Prevention.
28         6.  The Florida Suicide Prevention Coalition.
29         7.  The Alzheimer's Association.
30         8.  The Florida School Board Association.
31         9.  Volunteer Florida.

The Florida Council for Community Mental Health. 4 13. The Florida Counseling Association. 5 (b) The following state officials or their designees 6 shall serve on the coordinating council: 7 1. The Secretary of Elderly Affairs. 8 2. The Secretary of Health. 9 3. The Commissioner of Education. 10 4. The Secretary of Health Care Administration. 11 5. The Secretary of Juvenile Justice. 12 6. The Secretary of Corrections. 13 7. The executive director of the Department of Law 14 Enforcement. 15 8. The executive director of the Department of 16 Veterans' Affairs. 17 9. The Secretary of Children and Family Services. 18 10. The director of Workforce Innovation. 19 (c) The Governor shall appoint three additional 20 members to the coordinating council. The appointees must have 21 expertise critical to the prevention of suicide or represent 22 an organization that is not already represented on the 23 coordinating council. 24 (d) For the members appointed by the director of the 25 Office of Drug Control, six members shall be appointed to 26 initial terms of 3 years and seven members shall be appointed 27 to initial terms of 4 years. For the members appointed by the 28 Governor, two members shall be appointed to initial terms of 4 29 years and one member shall be appointed to an initial term of 30 3 years.
