6 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

8 | Section 1. Subsection (4) of section 626.171, Florida |
9 | Statutes, is amended to read: |
10 | 626.171 Application for license as an agent, customer |
11 | representative, adjuster, service representative, managing |
12 | general agent, or reinsurance intermediary.-- |
13 | (4) An application for a license as an agent, customer |
14 | representative, adjuster, service representative, managing |
15 | general agent, or reinsurance intermediary must be accompanied |
16 | by a set of the individual applicant's fingerprints, or, if the |
17 | applicant is not an individual, by a set of the fingerprints of |
18 | the sole proprietor, majority owner, partners, officers, and |
19 | directors, on a form adopted by rule of the department and |
20 | accompanied by the fingerprint processing fee set forth in s. |
21 | 624.501. Fingerprints shall be used to investigate the |
22 | applicant's qualifications pursuant to s. 626.201. The |
23 | Fingerprints may shall be taken at by a law enforcement agency |
24 | or other department-approved entity and shall be available at |
25 | all designated examination centers. |
26 | Section 2. This act shall take effect January 1, 2007. |
