11 | an effective date. |

13 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

15 | Section 1. Subsection (4) is added to section 372.574, |
16 | Florida Statutes, to read: |
17 | 372.574 Appointment of subagents for the sale of hunting, |
18 | fishing, and trapping licenses and permits; voter registration |
19 | duties.-- |
20 | (4)(a) All subagents appointed under this section shall |
21 | provide the opportunity to register to vote or to update a voter |
22 | registration record to each individual who comes to the subagent |
23 | to purchase any resident hunting license, fishing license, |
24 | combination license, or trapping permit. Each subagent shall |
25 | provide each individual with a voter registration application, |
26 | which shall be provided to the subagent by the voter |
27 | registration office in the subagent's county. |
28 | (b) Within 30 days after the effective date of this act, |
29 | each supervisor of elections shall provide an appropriate supply |
30 | of voter registration applications to each subagent in that |
31 | supervisor's county and thereafter at the request of the |
32 | subagent along with appropriate contact information for each |
33 | subagent to request additional applications. |
34 | (c) Failure to comply with any provision of this |
35 | subsection by any subagent or supervisor of elections shall |
36 | constitute a civil infraction subject to a minimum fine of $500 |
37 | for the first infraction, $1,000 for the second infraction, and |
38 | $2,500 for each subsequent infraction. |
39 | Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. |
