11  The Committee on Health Care (Fasano) recommended the
12  following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment 
15         On page 10, line 25 through page 11, line 9, delete
16  those lines
17  
18  and insert:  
19         (i)  Monitor innovations in health information
20  technology, informatics, and the exchange of health
21  information and maintain a repository of technical resources
22  to support the development of a Florida health information
23  network.
24         (j)  Administer, manage, and monitor grants to
25  not-for-profit organizations, regional health information
26  organizations, public health departments or state agencies
27  that submit proposals for planning, implementation, or
28  training projects to advance the development of a Florida
29  health information network. Any grant contract shall be
30  evaluated to ensure the effective outcome of the health
31  information project.
