11 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

|
13 | Section 1. The present corporate limits of the City of |
14 | Lauderhill, Broward County, are hereby extended and enlarged so |
15 | as to include, in addition to the territory presently within its |
16 | corporate limits, the area consisting of a portion of Sunrise |
17 | Boulevard, particularly described as follows: |

19 | That portion of Sunrise Boulevard in Section 31, |
20 | Township 49 South, Range 42 East, Broward County, |
21 | Florida, described as follows: |

23 | BEGINNING at the South One-Quarter (S 1/4) corner of |
24 | said Section 31, said point being on the municipal |
25 | boundary of the City of Lauderhill, as established by |
26 | Ordinance No. 040-10-219; |

28 | THENCE Westerly along said municipal boundary and the |
29 | South line of said Section 31 to a point of |
30 | intersection with the East line of the Southwest One- |
31 | Quarter (SW 1/4) of the Southeast One-Quarter (SE 1/4) |
32 | of the Southwest One-Quarter (SW 1/4) of said Section |
33 | 31, said point being on the municipal boundary of the |
34 | City of Lauderhill, as established by Ordinance No. |

72 | within its corporate limits and the area described in section 1, |
73 | the area consisting of a portion of N.W. 31st Avenue, |

196 | Boulevard to avoid the creation of an enclave, particularly |

228 | line and along said municipal boundary to the POINT OF |
229 | BEGINNING. |

231 | Section 5. All public roads and the public rights-of-way |
232 | associated therewith, on the Broward County road system, lying |
233 | within the limits of the lands subject to annexation herein, are |
234 | transferred from Broward County jurisdiction to the jurisdiction |
235 | of the annexing municipality. |
236 | Section 6. On the effective date of this act, the City of |
237 | Lauderhill shall be responsible for and embodied with all |
238 | municipal powers granted in chapter 166, Florida Statutes, |
239 | including, but not limited to, police powers and fire and |
240 | emergency services, over territory hereby annexed. |
241 | Section 7. Nothing in this act shall be construed to |
242 | affect or abrogate the rights of parties to any contracts, or |
243 | between nongovernmental entities, which contracts are in effect |
244 | prior to the effective date of the annexation. |
245 | Section 8. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. |
