11  The Committee on Health Care (Atwater) recommended the
12  following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 1, lines 16-24, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  
18         (d)  Each hospital must meet the requirements of the
19  Medicare and Medicaid Conditions of Participation for
20  Hospitals under 42 C.F.R. s. 482.51(a)(3) as they apply to
21  registered nurses performing circulating duties in the
22  operating room and as provided in the interpretive guidelines
23  provided by the United States Department of Health and Human
24  Services. A circulating nurse must be present in the operating
25  room for the duration of a surgical procedure.
