15 On page 8, line 15, through
16 page 12, line 3, delete those lines
17
18 and insert:
19 Section 7. Section 570.954, Florida Statutes, is
20 created to read:
21 570.954 Farm to fuel initiative.--
22 (1) The department may develop a farm to fuel
23 initiative to enhance the market for and promote the
24 production and distribution of renewable energy from
25 Florida-grown crops, agricultural wastes and residues, and
26 other biomass and to enhance the value of agricultural
27 products or expand agribusiness in the state.
28 (2) The department may conduct a statewide
29 comprehensive information and education program aimed at
30 educating the general public about the benefits of renewable
31 energy and the use of alternative fuels.

1 (3) The department shall coordinate with and solicit
2 the expertise of the state energy office within the Department
3 of Environmental Protection when developing and implementing
4 this initiative.

19 department and the Department of Environmental
20 Protection;
