| 4 | Remove line(s) 2414-2422 and insert: |
| 5 | Section 62. Notwithstanding s. 331.308(1)(f), Florida |
| 6 | Statutes, the current board appointees, including ex officio |
| 7 | appointees, to the Florida Space Authority board of supervisors |
| 8 | shall complete their appointed terms as members of the Space |
| 9 | Florida board of directors. These members shall assist Space |
| 10 | Florida with the transition for purposes of ensuring continuity |
| 11 | of operations through their historical perspective, insight, and |
| 12 | expertise. The Governor shall make appointments to fill the |
| 13 | remaining vacancies no later than July 1, 2006. Other vacancies |
| 14 | occurring prior to the expiration of a term may be filled as |
| 15 | provided in this act. The board of directors of Space Florida |
| 16 | shall hold its first meeting no later than August 1, 2006. The |
| 17 | board of directors shall appoint a president no later than |
| 18 | September 1, 2006. The Executive Office of the Governor shall |
| 19 | provide staffing and transitional support to Space Florida until |
| 20 | December 31, 2006. |
