11  Senator Posey moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment 
14         On lines 2393 through 2412, delete those lines
15  
16  and insert:  
17         Section 61.  No later than September 1, 2006, the
18  Florida Space Authority, the Florida Space Research Institute,
19  and the Florida Aerospace Finance Corporation shall submit
20  articles of dissolution to the Department of State in
21  accordance with s. 607.1403 or s. 617.1403, Florida Statutes,
22  as determined by the board of directors to be appropriate and
23  applicable. Space Florida, as created by this act, is the
24  successor organization to the Florida Space Authority, the
25  Florida Space Research Institute, and the Florida Aerospace
26  Finance Corporation. The Florida Space Authority, the Florida
27  Space Research Institute, and the Florida Aerospace Finance
28  Corporation shall transfer and Space Florida shall receive all
29  records, property, obligations, and unexpended balances of
30  appropriations, allocations, or other funds of the dissolved
31  entities. To ensure compliance with 26 U.S.C. 501(c)(3), Space

 1  Florida shall use the assets and funds transferred to it from
 2  the Florida Space Research Institute and the Florida Aerospace
 3  Finance Corporation in a manner consistent with the purposes
 4  for which the originating entity received such assets and
 5  funds.
