1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to official state designations;
3 creating s. 15.0301, F.S.; designating an
4 official state motto; creating s. 15.052, F.S.;
5 designating the future Admiral Jack Fetterman
6 State of Florida Maritime Museum and Research
7 Center in Pensacola as the official state
8 maritime museum; providing for future review
9 and repeal of such designation; providing an
10 effective date.

12 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

14 Section 1. Section 15.0301, Florida Statutes, is
15 created to read:
16 15.0301 State motto.--"In God We Trust" is designated
17 and declared the official motto of the State of Florida.
18 Section 2. Section 15.052, Florida Statutes, is
19 created to read:
20 15.052 Official state maritime museum.--
21 (1) The Admiral John H. Fetterman State of Florida
22 Maritime Museum and Research Center, to be built in the City
23 of Pensacola, is designated as the official state maritime
24 museum.
25 (2) This section is repealed July 1, 2015, unless
26 reviewed and reenacted by the Legislature before that date.
27 Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2006.

1 STATEMENT OF SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES CONTAINED IN
COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR
2 Senate Bill 1494

4 The committee substitute designates the Admiral John H.
Fetterman State of Florida Maritime Museum and Research Center
5 as the official state maritime museum. The committee
substitute includes a sunset provision for this designation on
6 July 1, 2015, unless reviewed and reenacted by the Legislature
prior to that date.
