  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to motorcycles; amending s.

  3         316.2095, F.S.; deleting a requirement that

  4         certain motorcycles be equipped with passenger

  5         handholds; providing an effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8  

  9         Section 1.  Subsection (1) of section 316.2095, Florida

10  Statutes, is amended to read:

11         316.2095  Footrests, handholds, and handlebars.--

12         (1)  Any motorcycle carrying a passenger, other than in

13  a sidecar or enclosed cab, shall be equipped with footrests

14  and handholds for such passenger.

15         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2006.
