11  The Committee on Health Care (Saunders) recommended the
12  following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 1, line 16,

17  insert:  
18         Section 1.  Section 458.3312, Florida Statutes, is
19  amended to read:
20         458.3312  Specialties.--A physician licensed under this
21  chapter may not hold himself or herself out as a
22  board-certified specialist unless the physician has received
23  formal recognition as a specialist from a specialty board of
24  the American Board of Medical Specialties or other recognizing
25  agency approved by the board which requires completion of a
26  residency or fellowship training program in the specialty of
27  certification approved by the Accreditation Council for
28  Graduate Medical Education. However, a physician may indicate
29  the services offered and may state that his or her practice is
30  limited to one or more types of services when this accurately
31  reflects the scope of practice of the physician.
