11  Senator Alexander moved the following amendment:
12  
13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 11, line 24, through
15            page 13, line 6, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  
18         Section 10.  Subsection (7) of section 626.9891,
19  Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
20         626.9891  Insurer anti-fraud investigative units;
21  reporting requirements; penalties for noncompliance.--
22         (7)  If an insurer fails to timely submit a final
23  acceptable anti-fraud plan or anti-fraud investigative unit
24  description otherwise fails to submit a plan, fails to
25  implement the provisions of a plan or an anti-fraud
26  investigative unit description, or otherwise refuses to comply
27  with the provisions of this section, the department, office,
28  or commission may:
29         (a)  Impose an administrative fine of not more than
30  $2,000 per day for such failure by an insurer to submit an
31  acceptable anti-fraud plan or anti-fraud investigative unit
