1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to road designations;
3 designating Ms. Eddie Mae Steward Avenue, Dr.
4 Mary L. Austin Jones Avenue, Mrs. Flossie
5 Brunson Avenue, Dr. Robert L. Brown, Sr.,
6 Highway, and Ms. Barbara Van Blake Parkway in
7 Duval County, and Ms. MaVynee "The Beach Lady"
8 Betsch Highway in Nassau County; directing the
9 Department of Transportation to erect suitable
10 markers; providing an effective date.

12 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

14 Section 1. Ms. Eddie Mae Steward Avenue designated;
15 Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.--
16 (1) That portion of Main Street between West 6th
17 Street and West 8th Street in Duval County is designated as
18 "Ms. Eddie Mae Steward Avenue."
19 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
20 erect suitable markers designating Ms. Eddie Mae Steward
21 Avenue as described in subsection (1).
22 Section 2. Dr. Mary L. Austin Jones Avenue designated;
23 Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.--
24 (1) That portion of Main Street between West 37th
25 Street and West 46th Street in Duval County is designated as
26 "Dr. Mary L. Austin Jones Avenue."
27 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
28 erect suitable markers designating Dr. Mary L. Austin Jones
29 Avenue as described in subsection (1).
30 Section 3. Mrs. Flossie Brunson Avenue designated;
31 Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.--

1 (1) That portion of Main Street between West 8th
2 Street and West 18th Street in Duval County is designated as
3 "Mrs. Flossie Brunson Avenue."
4 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
5 erect suitable markers designating Mrs. Flossie Brunson Avenue
6 as described in subsection (1).
7 Section 4. Dr. Robert L. Brown, Sr., Highway
8 designated; Department of Transportation to erect suitable
9 markers.--
10 (1) That portion of U.S. Highway 1 between Finch
11 Avenue and Trout River Boulevard in Duval County is designated
12 as "Dr. Robert L. Brown, Sr., Highway."
13 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
14 erect suitable markers designating Dr. Robert L. Brown, Sr.,
15 Highway as described in subsection (1).
16 Section 5. Ms. Barbara Van Blake Parkway designated;
17 Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers.--
18 (1) That portion of Lem Turner Road between Interstate
19 95 and Edgewood Avenue in Duval County is designated as " Ms.
20 Barbara Van Blake Parkway."
21 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
22 erect suitable markers designating Ms. Barbara Van Blake
23 Parkway as described in subsection (1).
24 Section 6. Ms. MaVynee "The Beach Lady" Betsch Highway
25 designated; Department of Transportation to erect suitable
26 markers.--
27 (1) That portion of Florida First Coast Highway
28 beginning at Burney Road and continuing north through the 5500
29 block of Florida First Coast Highway in Nassau County is
30 designated as "Ms. MaVynee 'The Beach Lady' Betsch Highway."

1 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
2 erect suitable markers designating Ms. MaVynee "The Beach
