18 and insert:
19 (a) An applicant applying for an original issuance
20 shall be issued a driver's license which expires at midnight
21 on the licensee's birthday which next occurs on or after the
22 sixth anniversary of the date of issue. However, a driver's
23 license may not be issued for a period that exceeds an
24 applicant's 80th birthday, except as provided in paragraph
25 (f).
26 (b) An applicant applying for a renewal issuance or
27 renewal extension shall be issued a driver's license or
28 renewal extension sticker which expires at midnight on the
29 licensee's birthday which next occurs 4 years after the month
30 of expiration of the license being renewed, except that a
31 driver whose driving record reflects no convictions for the

1 preceding 3 years shall be issued a driver's license or
2 renewal extension sticker which expires at midnight on the
3 licensee's birthday which next occurs 6 years after the month
4 of expiration of the license being renewed. However, a
5 driver's license may not be renewed for a period that exceeds
6 an applicant's 80th birthday, except as provided in paragraph
7 (f).
8 (c) Notwithstanding any other provision of this
9 chapter, if an applicant establishes his or her identity for a
10 driver's license using a document authorized under s.
11 322.08(2)(c)5., the driver's license shall expire in
12 accordance with paragraph (b). After an initial showing of
13 such documentation, he or she is exempted from having to renew
14 or obtain a duplicate in person.
15 (d) Notwithstanding any other provision of this
16 chapter, if an applicant establishes his or her identity for a
17 driver's license using a document authorized in s.
18 322.08(2)(c)6. or 7., the driver's license shall expire 2
19 years after the date of issuance or upon the expiration date
20 cited on the United States Department of Homeland Security
21 documents, whichever date first occurs.
22 (e) Notwithstanding any other provision of this
23 chapter, an applicant applying for an original or renewal
24 issuance of a commercial driver's license as defined in s.
25 322.01(7), with a hazardous-materials endorsement, pursuant to
26 s. 322.57(1)(e), shall be issued a driver's license that
27 expires at midnight on the licensee's birthday that next
28 occurs 4 years after the month of expiration of the license
29 being issued or renewed.
30 (f) Notwithstanding any other provision of this
31 chapter, the driver's license of any person expires at

1 midnight on the licensee's 80th birthday. A license issued to
2 a person after that person is 80 years of age shall expire at
3 midnight on the licensee's birthday that next occurs on or
4 after the fourth anniversary of the date of issue. A driver's
5 license that expires pursuant to this paragraph may be renewed
6 up to 6 months before the licensee's 80th birthday if the
7 applicant applying for the renewal license passes an eyesight
8 and hearing examination as provided in s. 322.121. The renewal
9 fee for a driver's license that expires pursuant to this
10 paragraph shall be waived if the applicant holds an otherwise
11 valid Florida driver's license that has been issued for less
12 than 4 years.

17 On page 1, line 23, after the semicolon,

19 insert:
20 providing that a person renewing a license
21 before the date of expiration is subject to the
22 eyesight and hearing examination; providing for
23 the driver's license renewal fee to be waived
24 for certain applicants whose license expires by
25 reason of the driver's age;
