12 (Rich) recommended the following amendment:

14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 30, between lines 29 and 30,

17 insert:
18 Section 6. Subsection (4) of section 409.903, Florida
19 Statutes, is amended to read:
20 409.903 Mandatory payments for eligible persons.--The
21 agency shall make payments for medical assistance and related
22 services on behalf of the following persons who the
23 department, or the Social Security Administration by contract
24 with the Department of Children and Family Services,
25 determines to be eligible, subject to the income, assets, and
26 categorical eligibility tests set forth in federal and state
27 law. Payment on behalf of these Medicaid eligible persons is
28 subject to the availability of moneys and any limitations
29 established by the General Appropriations Act or chapter 216.
30 (4) A child who is eligible under Title IV-E of the
31 Social Security Act for subsidized board payments, foster

1 care, or adoption subsidies, and a child for whom the state
2 has assumed temporary or permanent responsibility and who does
3 not qualify for Title IV-E assistance but is in foster care,
4 shelter or emergency shelter care, or subsidized adoption.
5 This category includes any young adult who is eligible to
6 receive services under s. 409.1451(5), until the young adult
7 reaches the age of 20, without regard to any income, resource,
8 or categorical eligibility test that is otherwise required.
9 This category also includes a person who, as a child who was
10 eligible under Title IV-E of the Social Security Act for
11 foster care or the state-provided foster care, who exited
12 foster care due to attaining the age of 18 years, and who is a
13 participant in the has been awarded a Road-to-Independence
14 Program Scholarship.
