14 On page 20, between lines 20 and 21,

16 insert:
17 Section 14. (1) A physician or other health care
18 provider who treats a patient for infertility shall provide
19 the patient with timely, relevant, and appropriate information
20 that is sufficient to allow the person to make an informed and
21 voluntary choice regarding the disposition of human embryos
22 that remain following such treatment.
23 (2) A person to whom information is provided pursuant
24 to subsection (1) shall be given the options of storing any
25 unused embryos, donating them to another person, donating them
26 for research purposes, or selecting other means of
27 disposition.
28 (3) A person who chooses to donate the embryos for
29 research shall provide written consent on a form provided by
30 the Department of Health and made available to the public on
31 the department's Internet website.

1 (4) A person may not knowingly, for material or
2 financial gain, purchase, sell, transfer, or obtain, or
3 promote the sale or transfer of, embryonic fetal tissue for
4 research purposes. Embryonic and adult stem cell material may
5 be donated only for research purposes with the informed
6 consent of the donor. A person who violates this section
7 commits a felony of the second degree, punishable as provided
8 in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084, Florida Statutes.
