11  The Committee on Education (King) recommended the following
12  amendment:

14         Senate Amendment 
15         On page 19, lines 3-12, delete these lines
16  
17  and insert:    3)  The sum of $15 million is appropriated from
18  the General Revenue Fund to the Grants and Donations Trust
19  Fund in the Department of Elderly Affairs for the Johnnie B.
20  Byrd, Sr., Alzheimer's Center and Research Institute at the
21  University of South Florida for fiscal year 2006-2007 for the
22  purposes of conducting research, developing and operating
23  integrated data projects, and providing assistance to memory
24  disorder clinics as provided under s. 430.502, Florida
25  Statutes. These funds may not be used by the department for
26  any other purpose. Not less than 80 percent of these funds
27  shall be distributed by the center as institutional research
28  grants or investigator-initiated research grants.
29         (4)  The sum of $15 million is appropriated to the
30  Johnnie B. Byrd, Sr., Alzheimer's Center and Research
31  Institute at the University of South Florida from the Grants
