11  Senator Peaden moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 10, between lines 4 and 5,
15  
16  insert:  
17         Section 13.  The Department of Elderly Affairs shall
18  implement a pilot alternative nursing home diversion
19  eligibility program that assesses eligibility for nursing home
20  coverage and nursing home diversion benefits and provides
21  alternative nursing home diversion services to persons who are
22  not eligible for such services under other programs. The
23  department shall commence implementation of the pilot program
24  on or before October 1, 2006, and provide the Legislature with
25  a report on the status of the pilot program on or before
26  January 15, 2007.
