11  Senators Garcia and Alexander moved the following amendment to
12  amendment (335282):

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 52, line 4, delete that line
16  
17  and insert:  
18         i.  If a deficit is incurred in any account, the board
19  of governors shall levy an immediate assessment against the
20  premium of each nonhomestead property policyholder in all
21  accounts of the corporation, as a uniform percentage of the
22  premium of the policy of up to 10 percent of such premium,
23  which funds shall be used to offset the deficit. If this
24  assessment is insufficient to eliminate the deficit, the board
25  of governors shall levy an additional assessment against all
26  policyholders of the corporation, which shall be collected at
27  the time of issuance or renewal of a policy, as a uniform
28  percentage of the premium for the policy of up to 10 percent
29  of such premium, which funds shall be used to further offset
30  the deficit.
31         j.  The board of governors shall maintain separate
