11 The Committee on Transportation (Sebesta) recommended the
12 following amendment to amendment (864152):

14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 3, line 22, after the period
16
17 insert: Fifty percent of the moneys received from the
18 enhanced fine imposed by this subsection shall be remitted to
19 the Department of Revenue and deposited into the Department of
20 Health Administrative Trust Fund to provide financial support
21 to certified trauma centers to assure the availability and
22 accessibility of trauma services throughout the state. Funds
23 deposited into the Administrative Trust Fund under this
24 section shall be allocated as follows:
25 (a) Fifty percent shall be allocated equally among all
26 Level I, Level II, and pediatric trauma centers in recognition
27 of readiness costs for maintaining trauma services.
28 (b) Fifty percent shall be allocated among Level I,
29 Level II, and pediatric trauma centers based on each center's
30 relative volume of trauma cases as reported in the Department
31 of Health Trauma Registry. The remainder of the enhanced fine

2 disposition under s. 318.21, F.S.
