11  The Committee on Transportation and Economic Development
12  Appropriations (Fasano) recommended the following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 3, between lines 17 and 18,
16  
17  insert:  
18         Section 4.  (1)  Each district school board and county
19  supervisor of elections may cooperate to provide voter
20  education to high school students who are in grade 12. The
21  voter education may be in the form of a presentation and is
22  voluntary for public high schools and nonpublic high schools.
23  Each supervisor of elections may conduct the presentation for
24  the public high schools and, upon request, for the nonpublic
25  high schools.
26         (2)  If provided, the voter education must include
27  information concerning:
28         (a)  How to register and preregister to vote.
29         (b)  The operation of voting machines.
30         (c)  How, when, and where to vote.
31         (d)  The importance of voting.
