  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to license plates; amending ss.

  3         320.08056, 320.08058, F.S.; creating a

  4         Homeownership for All license plate; providing

  5         for the distribution of annual use fees

  6         received from the sale of such plates;

  7         providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10  

11         Section 1.  Paragraph (fff) is added to subsection (4)

12  of section 320.08056, Florida Statutes, to read:

13         320.08056  Specialty license plates.--

14         (4)  The following license plate annual use fees shall

15  be collected for the appropriate specialty license plates:

16         (fff)  Homeownership for All license plate, $25.

17         Section 2.  Subsection (58) is added to section

18  320.08058, Florida Statutes, to read:

19         320.08058  Specialty license plates.--

20         (58)  HOMEOWNERSHIP FOR ALL LICENSE PLATES.--

21         (a)  The department shall develop a Homeownership for

22  All license plate as provided in this section. The word

23  "Florida" must appear at the top of the plate, and the words

24  "Homeownership for All" must appear at the bottom of the

25  plate.

26         (b)  The annual use fees shall be distributed to

27  Homeownership for All, Inc., which may use a maximum of 10

28  percent of the proceeds to promote and market the plate. It

29  shall use the balance of the proceeds to fund programs that

30  provide, promote, or otherwise support affordable housing in

31  this state.

 1         Section 3.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2006.
