11  The Committee on Justice Appropriations (Crist) recommended
12  the following amendment:
13  
14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 1, between lines 28 and 29,
16  
17  insert:  
18         Section 2.  Section 29.0195, Florida Statutes, is
19  amended to read:
20         29.0195  Recovery of expenditures for state-funded
21  services.--The trial court administrator of each circuit shall
22  recover expenditures for state-funded services when those
23  services have been furnished to a user of the state court
24  system who possesses the present ability to pay. The rate of
25  compensation for such services shall be the actual cost of the
26  services, including the cost of recovery. The trial court
27  administrator shall deposit moneys recovered under this
28  section in the Operating Grants and Donations Trust Fund
29  within the state court system. The trial court administrator
30  shall recover the costs of court reporter services and
31  transcription; court interpreter services, including

 1  translation; and any other service for which state funds were
 2  used to provide a product or service within the circuit. This
 3  section does not authorize cost recovery from entities
 4  described in ss. 29.005, 29.006, and 29.007.
