11  Senator Argenziano moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 1, line 25, through
15            page 2, line 13, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  Any person working at a swimming pool who holds
18  himself or herself out as a swimming instructor specializing
19  in training people who have developmental disabilities, as
20  defined in s. 393.063(10), must be certified by the Dan Marino
21  Foundation, Inc., in addition to being certified under s.
22  514.071. The Dan Marino Foundation, Inc., must develop
23  certification requirements and a training curriculum for
24  swimming instructors for people who have developmental
25  disabilities and must submit the certification requirements to
26  the Department of Health for review by January 1, 2007. A
27  person certified under s. 514.071 before July 1, 2007, must
28  meet the additional certification requirements of this section
29  before January 1, 2008. A person certified under s. 514.071 on
30  or after July 1, 2007, must meet the additional certification
31  requirements of this section within 6 months after receiving
