  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to prepaid limited and discount

  3         medical plans; amending s. 636.044, F.S.;

  4         exempting certain sellers of travel from

  5         licensing requirements to sell insurance that

  6         covers the cost of transportation provided by

  7         an air ambulance service; providing an

  8         effective date.

10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11  

12         Section 1.  Subsection (5) is added to section 636.044,

13  Florida Statutes, to read:

14         636.044  Agent licensing.--

15         (5)  A person registered as a seller of travel under s.

16  559.928 is not required to be licensed under this section in

17  order to sell insurance that covers the cost of transportation

18  provided by an air ambulance service licensed pursuant to s.

19  401.251. The insurance policy for such coverage is, however,

20  subject to all applicable provisions of this chapter.

21         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2006.
