  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to classification and

  3         assessment of agricultural lands; amending s.

  4         193.461, F.S.; including certain property

  5         relating to aquaculture under the term

  6         "agricultural purposes"; providing an effective

  7         date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10  

11         Section 1.  Subsection (5) of section 193.461, Florida

12  Statutes, is amended to read:

13         193.461  Agricultural lands; classification and

14  assessment; mandated eradication or quarantine program.--

15         (5)  For the purpose of this section, "agricultural

16  purposes" includes, but is not limited to, horticulture;

17  floriculture; viticulture; forestry; dairy; livestock;

18  poultry; bee; pisciculture, when the land is used principally

19  for the production of tropical fish; aquaculture, including

20  property used exclusively for commercial landing of seafood;

21  sod farming; and all forms of farm products and farm

22  production.

23         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2006.
