11  The Committee on Domestic Security (Constantine) recommended
12  the following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 3, lines 15-19, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  
18         (2)  On or before May 1 of each year Each electric
19  utility in the state shall annually notify residential
20  customers in its service area of the availability of the
21  registration program available through their local emergency
22  management agency with either:.
23         (a)  An initial notification upon the activation of new
24  residential service with the electric utility followed by one
25  annual notification between January 1 and May 31; or
26         (b)  Two separate annual notifications between January
27  1 and May 31.

29  The notification required under this subsection may be made by
30  any available means, including, but not limited to, written,
31  electronic, or verbal notification, and may be made
