12 following amendment:

14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 3, line 19, through page 4, line 8, delete
16 those lines
17
18 and insert:
19 (2)(1) As used in this section, the term:
20 (a) "Forced labor or services" means labor or services
21 obtained from a person by:
22 1. Using or threatening to use physical force, fraud,
23 or coercion against that person or another person; or
24 2. Restraining, isolating, or confining or threatening
25 to restrain, isolate, or confine that person or another person
26 without lawful authority and against her or his will;.
27 3. Using lending or other credit methods to establish
28 a debt by that person or another person when the labor or
29 services are pledged as a security for the debt, if the value
30 of the labor or services as reasonably assessed is not applied
31 toward the liquidation of the debt or the length and nature of

1 the labor or services are not respectively limited and
2 defined; or
3 4. Destroying, concealing, removing, confiscating,
4 withholding, or possessing any actual or purported passport,
5 visa, or other immigration document, or any other actual or
6 purported government identification document, of that person
7 or another person.
8 (b) "Human trafficking" means transporting,
9 soliciting, recruiting, harboring, providing, or obtaining
10 another person for transport.
11 (3)(2) Any person who knowingly engages, or attempts
12 to engage, in human trafficking with the intent that the
13 trafficked person engage in forced labor or services or who
14 knowingly benefits financially or receives anything of value,
15 or attempts to benefit financially or receive anything of
16 value, from human trafficking when the trafficked person
17 engages in forced labor or services commits a felony of the
18 second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s.
19 775.083, or s. 775.084.

23 And the title is amended as follows:
24 On page 1, lines 5 through 8, delete those lines
25
26 and insert: or services" to include circumstances involving
27 the use of fraud or coercion against a person; the use of
28 certain debt practices; and the destruction, concealing, or
29 withholding of a person's identification documents; providing
30 for attempted human trafficking to be an equal crime to human
31 trafficking; prohibiting knowingly benefiting financially or
