11  Senator Posey moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 88, between lines 9 and 10,
15  
16  insert:  
17         Section 69.  Notwithstanding s. 331.308(1)(f), Florida
18  Statutes, the current board appointees, including ex officio
19  appointees, to the Florida Space Authority board of
20  supervisors shall complete their appointed terms as members of
21  the Space Florida board of directors. These members shall
22  assist Space Florida with the transition for purposes of
23  ensuring continuity of operations through their historical
24  perspective, insight, and expertise. The Governor shall make
25  appointments to fill the remaining vacancies no later than
26  July 1, 2006. Other vacancies occurring prior to the
27  expiration of a term may be filled as provided in this act.
28  The board of directors of Space Florida shall hold its first
29  meeting no later than August 1, 2006. The board of directors
30  shall appoint a president no later than September 1, 2006. The
31  Executive Office of the Governor shall provide staffing and
