19 Section 8. For the 2006-2007 fiscal year, the sum of
20 $45 million is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to
21 the Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development within
22 the Executive Office of the Governor to fund the Quick Action
23 Closing Fund as authorized in s. 288.1088, Florida Statutes.
24 These funds shall be placed in reserve by the Executive Office
25 of the Governor on July 1, 2006. The Office of Tourism, Trade,
26 and Economic Development may request the release of funds as
27 needed to implement the provisions of s. 288.1088, Florida
28 Statutes, through the Legislative Budget Commission.
29 Section 9. For the 2006-2007 fiscal year, the sum of
30 $197 million is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund for
31 transfer to the Economic Development Trust Fund within the

1 Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development. Funds
2 transferred under this section are not subject to the service
3 charge set forth in s. 215.20, Florida Statutes. The sum of
4 $197 million is appropriated for the 2006-2007 fiscal year
5 from the Economic Development Trust Fund within the Office of
6 Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development to be used to
7 implement this act. These funds in the Economic Development
8 Trust Fund shall be placed in reserve by the Executive Office
9 of the Governor on July 1, 2006. The Office of Tourism, Trade,
10 and Economic Development may request the release of funds as
11 needed to implement the provisions of this act through the
12 Legislative Budget Commission. Funds not expended during the
13 2006-2007 fiscal year may be used in future fiscal years as
14 appropriated in the General Appropriations Act or other law.
15 Section 10. The sum of $3 million a year is
16 appropriated from nonrecurring general revenue for 10 years to
17 the Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development for the
18 purpose specified in s. 288.1171(3), Florida Statutes. For the
19 2006-2007 fiscal year, these funds are appropriated from
20 nonrecurring general revenue. For the 2007-2008 through
21 2016-2017 fiscal years, the funds shall be appropriated from
22 nonrecurring general revenue or as specifically provided in
23 the General Appropriations Act. The funds shall be distributed
24 by the Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development to
25 organizations meeting the requirements of s. 288.1171, Florida
26 Statutes, solely to encourage and provide economic development
27 through capital construction, improvements, or the purchase of
28 equipment that will result in expanded employment
29 opportunities.
