  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the Village of North Palm

  3         Beach, Palm Beach County; designating a portion

  4         of State Road A1A within the village as Jack

  5         Nicklaus Drive; authorizing and directing the

  6         village to change street signs and markers,

  7         mailing addresses, and 911 emergency telephone

  8         system listings and to erect signs and markers

  9         accordingly; providing an effective date.

11  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12  

13         Section 1.  Jack Nicklaus Drive designated; signs,

14  mailing addresses, listings, and markers.--

15         (1)  Notwithstanding ss. 267.062 and 334.071, Florida

16  Statutes, that portion of State Road A1A (U.S. 1) beginning at

17  its intersection with PGA Boulevard and ending just west of

18  the Burnt Bridge, Florida Department of Transportation bridge

19  number 930361, in Palm Beach County is designated as "Jack

20  Nicklaus Drive."

21         (2)  The Village of North Palm Beach within which the

22  new Jack Nicklaus Drive is located is authorized and directed

23  to change street signs and markers, mailing addresses, and 911

24  emergency telephone number system listings to reflect the

25  designation.

26         (3)  The Village of North Palm Beach is authorized and

27  directed to erect the appropriate signs and markers upon Jack

28  Nicklaus Drive as described in subsection (1).

29         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2006.
