A bill to be entitled
2An act relating to travel-limited life insurance coverage;
3providing a purpose; specifying prohibited activities by
4insurers for life insurance coverage relating to lawful
5travel experiences; providing an effective date.

7Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

9     Section 1.  (1)  The purpose of this act is to prohibit a
10life insurance company from refusing to insure, refusing to
11continue to insure, limiting the amount, extent, or kind of
12coverage available to an individual, or charging an individual a
13different rate for the same coverage solely for reasons
14associated with an applicant's or insured's past or future
15lawful travel experiences.
16     (2)  An insurer may not refuse to insure, refuse to
17continue to insure, limit the amount, extent, or kind of life
18insurance coverage available to an individual, or charge an
19individual a different rate for the same coverage solely for
20reasons associated with an applicant's or insured's past or
21future lawful travel experiences.
22     Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2006.
