  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to emergency management;

  3         requiring the Division of Emergency Management

  4         to establish storage facilities and

  5         transportation infrastructure for emergency

  6         supplies needed following storms or other

  7         catastrophies; providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10  

11         Section 1.  The Division of Emergency Management within

12  the Department of Community Affairs shall establish

13  strategically placed storage facilities and transportation

14  infrastructures to maintain emergency supplies for

15  distribution in the case of foreseeable shortages upon the

16  notification of forecasted storms or other catastrophies.

17         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2006.
