13 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
14 On page 2, line 29 through page 3, line 23, delete
15 those lines
16
17 and insert:
18 administrative region of the commission and shall be
19 consistent with the hunting discipline that the commission
20 allowed on the closed land.
21 (5) Any state agency or water management district that
22 owns or manages lands shall assist and coordinate and
23 cooperate with the commission to allow hunting on such lands
24 if such lands are determined by the commission to be suitable
25 for hunting. To ensure no net loss of land acreage available
26 for hunting, state agencies and water management districts
27 shall cooperate with the commission to open new, additional
28 hunting lands to replace lost hunting acreage. However, lands
29 officially designated as units within the state park system
30 may not be considered for replacement hunting lands and may be
31 opened for hunting only when necessary as a wildlife control

1 or management tool as determined by the Division of Recreation
2 and Parks in the Department of Environmental Protection.
3 (6) By October 1 of each year, the executive director
4 of the commission shall submit to the Legislature a written
5 report describing:
6 (a) The acreage managed by the commission which was
7 closed to hunting during the previous fiscal year and the
8 reasons for the closures.
9 (b) The acreage managed by the commission which was
10 opened to hunting to compensate for closures of existing land
11 pursuant to subsection (4).
12 (7) By October 1 of each year, any state agency or
