5 | reported to the clerk of court. The clerk of court must forward |
6 | any arrest record received for a professional guardian to the |
7 | Statewide Public Guardianship Office within 5 days. Each |
8 | guardian who elects to submit fingerprint information |
9 | electronically shall participate in this search process by |
10 | paying an annual fee to the Statewide Public Guardianship Office |
11 | of the Department of Elderly Affairs and by informing the clerk |
12 | of court and the Statewide Public Guardianship Office of any |
13 | change in the status of his or her guardianship appointment. The |
14 | amount of the annual fee to be imposed for performing these |
15 | searches and the procedures for the retention of guardian |
16 | fingerprints and the dissemination of search results shall be |
17 | established by rule of the Department of Law Enforcement. At |
18 | least once every 5 years, the Statewide Public Guardianship |
19 | Office must request that the Department of Law Enforcement |
20 | forward the fingerprints maintained under this section to the |
21 | Federal Bureau of Investigation. |
