11  The Committee on Transportation and Economic Development
12  Appropriations (Dockery) recommended the following amendment:
13  
14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 2, between lines 3 and 4,
16  
17  insert:  
18         Section 2.  Subsection (4) of section 320.08068,
19  Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
20         320.08068  Motorcycle specialty license plates.--
21         (4)  A license plate annual use fee of $15 shall be
22  collected for each motorcycle specialty license plate. Annual
23  use fees shall be distributed to The Able Trust as custodial
24  agent. The Able Trust may retain a maximum of 10 percent of
25  the proceeds from the sale of the license plate for
26  administrative costs. The Able Trust shall distribute the
27  remaining funds as follows:
28         (a)  Twenty-five percent to the Brain and Spinal Cord
29  Injury Program Trust Fund.
30         (b)  Twelve and one-half Twenty-five percent to Prevent
31  Blindness Florida.

Florida Senate - 2006 COMMITTEE AMENDMENT Bill No. SB 460 Barcode 104690 1 (c) Twelve and one-half percent to the Blind Services 2 Foundation of Florida. 3 (d)(c) Twenty-five percent to the Foundation for 4 Vocational Rehabilitation to support the Personal Care 5 Attendant Program pursuant to s. 413.402. 6 (e)(d) Twenty-five percent to the Florida Association 7 of Centers for Independent Living to be used to leverage 8 additional funding and new sources of revenue for the centers 9 for independent living in this state for the purpose of 10 setting up direct-support organizations for each center, and 11 for programs and activities serving disabled Floridians. Each 12 center participating in the development of a direct-support 13 organization shall be eligible to apply through the 14 Association for a startup grant of up to $50,000. Thereafter, 15 to the extent that funds are available, each participating 16 center may apply for funds in the form of matching grants. The 17 first year, the centers shall provide 25 cents for each dollar 18 requested.
