| 5 | Section 2. Section 817.357, Florida Statutes, is created |
| 6 | to read: |
| 7 | 817.357 Purchase of tickets.--Whoever knowingly purchases |
| 8 | from the original seller and intends to resell a quantity of |
| 9 | tickets to an event that exceeds the maximum amount posted by or |
| 10 | on behalf of the original ticket seller at the point of original |
| 11 | sale or printed on the tickets themselves commits a misdemeanor |
| 12 | of the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. |
| 13 | 775.083. No person or firm shall have any liability under this |
| 14 | section with respect to tickets for which that person or firm is |
| 15 | the original ticket seller or for which that person or firm |
| 16 | provides contracted services for such original ticket seller in |
| 17 | connection with such sales. |
